According to the Municipal Conflict of Interest Act, HWDSB Trustees will maintain a registry of all declarations made under this Act. The declaration of conflicts of interest is to maintain the integrity and dignity of the office. It is also aimed at fostering accountability, transparency, and inclusivity in the governance process. The registry must include a written declaration provided by the board member and must
be available to the public. This registry is accessible on the HWDSB website and updated following receipt of any declarations of conflict of interest by Trustees.
