The Energy SHSM focuses on STEM (Science, Technology, Math and Engineering) and today’s rapid and exciting changes in green energy. Students build a foundation of career-focused knowledge and skills before graduating and entering apprenticeship training, college, university, or the workplace.

Experiential Learning and Reach Aheads May Include:

  • Certifications in Working at Heights, Project Management and Computer Aided Design (CAD)
  • Tours of local Energy companies and guest talks from industry professionals
  • Participation in local and provincial Skills Competitions
  • Acting as environmental ambassadors and promoting land stewardship
  • Visits to college and university Engineering and Green Energy programs
  • Job shadowing an energy industry professional
