Heat Alert

Dear HWDSB Community,
Hamilton Public Health Services has initiated a Heat Warning as of Saturday, July 5, 2025. Heat Warnings stay in effect until they are cancelled or escalated to an Extended Heat Warning.

HWDSB remains open. We strongly advise precautions that include:

limiting physical outdoor activities and wearing light breathable clothing

ensuring access to cold drinking water

stay hydrated
-
monitoring for heat stress

lowering blinds and window coverings
The following fact sheets are meant to help staff protect themselves through prevention, identification, and response to symptoms of heat stress.
