eLearning students require skills that include organization, self-direction, time management, problem-solving, effective communication, responsibility, honesty and willingness to access textbooks (if needed), a working computer and an Internet connection.

Please see your Guidance Counsellor at your home school to register for an eLearning course.

Students will receive an email confirmation from PRISM (the eLearning Consortium) to confirm; Registration, Waitlisted or Removal from the selected course, as applicable.

NOTE: Out of Board Students – students from another school board registered in an HWDSB course, will receive an additional email containing their HWDSB credentials to log into https://students.hwdsb.on.ca/. It is important that these instructions are followed for the student to have full access to their course materials and communication with their teacher.

For adult learners, students out of school may contact the HWDSB Community and Continuing Education department for e-Learning courses – information and contact information is www.hwdsb.on.ca/cce.
