Subject: CB Stirling School Temporary Closure and Relocation Plan Due to Heat Event
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Due to rising heat and a faulty HVAC unit at CB Stirling that cannot be repaired at this time, the school will be closed temporarily effective today, Tuesday, June 24.
Today’s Plan on Tuesday, June 24:

If possible, please pick up your child at CB Stirling no later than 1:30 p.m. today.

If you are unable to make arrangements for pickup by 1:30 p.m., your child will be transported by a shuttle school bus to Templemead Elementary School, which will serve as today’s temporary evacuation site.

After 1:30 p.m. please pick your child(ren) up from Templemead Elementary School. All before/after school programs are cancelled.

Please note: If you child(ren) is routinely bussed home from CB Stirling, that service will be provided from Templemead Elementary School.

Tomorrow’s Plan on Wednesday, June 25 – Temporary Relocation:

On Wednesday, June 25, students from CB Stirling Elementary School will attend school at Nora Frances Henderson Secondary School.

School bus shuttle service will be provided to Nora Frances Henderson leaving from CB Stirling. For tomorrow, please ensure your child arrives at CB Stirling at 8:45 a.m. (bell time). They will return on busses to CB Stirling at the 3:05 p.m. dismissal time (bell time).

Please note: If you child is routinely bussed home from CB Stirling, that service will continue Wednesday, June 25.

All before/after school programs and EarlyON are cancelled.

We understand this is a disruption to your child(ren)’s routine school day and appreciate your support and cooperation during this time. Your children’s safety and well-being are of utmost importance.
With anticipated temperatures returning to normal, school may resume at CB Stirling on Thursday, June 26 as we work to resolve the faulty HVAC. Please expect additional communication on Wednesday with more information.
