Join the HWDSB Human Rights and Equity Community Advisory Committee
HWDSB has extended its application deadline for organization representatives to join the HWDSB Human Rights and Equity (HRE) Community Advisory Committee.
The HRE Community Advisory Committee meets monthly with a schedule determined by committee members. The committee provides advice, input and feedback using human rights, anti-racist and anti-oppressive approaches to support HWDSB’s commitment in identifying and addressing inequities in the education system and to create learning and working environment that are inclusive, equitable and welcoming as outlined in its Equity Action Plan.
The committee currently seeking applications from representatives from human rights and equity-focused organizations, alliances and/or networks. Applications have now closed for student and parent member applications and will be reviewed by the selection committee.
