Starting Each Day with New Hope FASD Webinar Series

Information about FASD webinar series featured on webpage.The Halton FASD Adult Support Group and the Hamilton FASD Parent & Caregiver Support Group have collaborated to provide a free FASD (Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder) webinar series titled “Starting Each Day with New Hope”.

The webinar series includes six events and nine FASD speakers, including:

  • Leading experts in FASD
  • A parent sharing his personal experience dealing with the criminal justice system and the methods he used to help his child with the system
  • A FASD Justice Panel of speakers (Halton Police Officer, Halton Police Social Worker, JHS, and a Criminal Lawyer)
  • A new medical algorithm for drug treatment, self-harm and addiction
  • A session on achieving success in schools

The goal of the FASD webinar series is to provide parents, caregivers, and professionals the opportunity to learn new skills and understanding of FASD from a variety of speakers. Note that while this is a FASD event, many of the events will also be of benefit to anyone with a child with special needs or a neurodevelopmental disorder.
