Return to Remote Learning at HWDSB – Week Two Highlights
Last week, we shared ten tweets that showed how members of the HWDSB community are adapting to the remote learning period. Even though we are now beginning our third week, the stories and photos have not stopped pouring in.
With that in mind, we thought we would continue sharing some of our favourite distance learning posts. Here are ten highlights from week two:
Grade 8 students @adelaide_HWDSB just wrapped up their first coding workshop with @CreationCampHam. Students worked in @scratch to code @AmongUsGame. Brilliant! Such great way to learn remotely. @ExperientialLe4 @HWDSB pic.twitter.com/cAwnZyhWdU

Super excited for #sportsday to kick off the @NHL season with my students tomorrow! We’ll be creating our own sports teams by creating our own logos and uniforms as well as using our persuasive writing to draw a fan base! @HWDSB pic.twitter.com/KeRyUB3a7Q

All of my ELLs are officially online!!! I’m so proud of my students and their families for tackling this new way of learning. They are doing so well during these challenging times. We are all in this together. @HWDSB @HWDSB_ESLELD #safeathome #onlinelearning pic.twitter.com/eBfjWGqgxG

We had a blast building roller coaster cars and doing a virtual roller coaster ride together! Our parents were amazing and joined in to make the “cars” shake/tilt! Cars were made from boxes, baskets, blankets, etc! Such a fun Friday! @HWDSB #engagement #mentalhealth #FDK pic.twitter.com/NGuY1YmSDj
