Ministry Approval Provided for School Projects
The following is a statement from the Chair of the Board, Alex Johnstone regarding the announcement of approval to proceed on school construction:
“On behalf of the Board of Trustees for Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board, I would like to thank the Ministry of Education for providing the approval needed for us to move forward in building an addition to Ancaster Senior, a new school on the Memorial Stoney Creek site, and a new school on the Glendale campus.
I would especially like to thank MPP Donna Skelly and MPP Paul Miller, who both supplied tremendous support in ensuring our approvals arrived in time to take advantage of this year’s construction season without delay.
This demonstrates the importance and effectiveness of our strong relationships with our local provincial officials as we work together towards our shared goal of best serving the community.
We are excited to award tenders, formally begin construction and have our students settled into their new schools as soon as possible.”
