Changes to HWDSB’s Senior Team

Congratulations to Simon Goodacre who joins the Senior Team at HWDSB as acting Superintendent of Student Achievement for Family of Schools 3.

“Simon has been an active member of Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board for more than 20 years,” said Sheryl Robinson Petrazzini, Director of Education. “He is enthusiastic and focused on helping students excel in their educational career.”

Goodacre first became a secondary Vice-Principal in 2007 and transitioned to the elementary panel in 2016 as Principal at Dalewood Elementary School and then Ancaster Meadow Elementary School. As the current System Principal of Learning Services, Goodacre supported Gr. 7-12 program, Elementary Remote Learning, eLearning, and Pathways. He has worked with, and alongside, the Indigenous Education Program team and with the Equity team to develop and implement system direction regarding De-streaming on behalf of Learning Services.

There are five Family of Schools in HWDSB. Families can learn who their Superintendent of Student Achievement is supporting their child/ren’s school by clicking the HWDSB Family of Schools Organizational Chart.

Executive Council Roles and Responsibilities 2022-2023

A search is currently underway to fill the role of Associate Director, Support Services. In July, Stacey Zucker left the position after being appointed as Associate Director, Modernization and Strategic Resource Alignment, for the Toronto District School Board. HWDSB wishes her well in this role.
