Drop in when you can – NO REGISTRATION REQUIRED | Participants can walk‐in to the location during the allocated testing time.

Who is eligible for asymptomatic testing?

Now offered to all students and staff in HWDSB and children and staff from our child care programs.

Covid-19 testing is voluntary and only for asymptomatic individuals (those who are not experiencing any COVID‐19 symptoms.). Consent is required for student under 18 years old. The consent form is available on site. Students unaccompanied by a parent or guardian must bring signed consent. Download the consent form here: Life Labs Consent

Why is asymptomatic testing being recommended?

Asymptomatic testing is an important layer of protection that helps to track and prevent the spread of COVID‐19. Increased testing may also help to reduce stress and anxiety related to the virus by identifying cases early and avoiding outbreaks.

What are the details about the test?

The test process is very simple and safe and the collection site will be staffed by professionals who will be following a multitude of safety parameters. LifeLabs uses a swab like a Q‐tip that is inserted into the front part of the nostril and rotated for fifteen seconds (per nostril). After the sample is collected, the test results will then be available within 24‐48 hours on LifeLabs WorkClear Thrive application. Learn more: http://hwdsb.info/LifeLabs

Thank you for considering this voluntary opportunity. We appreciate the support as we look at all enhanced public health measures.

Voluntary targeted COVID-19 testing is a partnership between Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board, Hamilton Public Health Services, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education.
