April 24, 2024 is Administrative Professionals’ Day! It has been recognized in North America since the 1940s before soon becoming an international day of recognition.

For many people in our communities, administrative professionals are the faces of HWDSB. They support schools and offices by being the first points of contact.

Today, and every day, we are reminded of the skills and dedication of the administrative professionals at our school board. They consistently prioritize those around them, and make sure students, staff and families stay connected, engaged and supported.

When I reflect on the four values outlined in our Multi-Year Strategic Plan, I cannot help but think of the many ways that administrative professionals exhibit TRUST. We trust you with schedules, finances, communication, event planning, onboarding, project management and so much more. It takes a special group of people to be trusted with such a wide range of roles and responsibilities!

All staff members across the organization are grateful for the work done by the administrative professionals of HWDSB. We could not do the work we do without the work you do.
