Reminder about Health Measures for 2022-23 Start Up
As we prepare for the start of school, we want to note the latest health direction from the Ministry of Education and Ontario Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Kieran Moore.
Screening
Although voluntary, it is still recommended that staff, students and visitors continue to self-screen for COVID-19 every day before attending school using the COVID-19 school and childcare screening tool. The screening tool has been updated as of August 31, 2022.
If you are unwell, and unable to participate at school, stay home.
Masks
Masks are not required but are encouraged in HWDSB schools, administrative buildings and buses. We will continue to offer free masks for students, staff and visitors in our schools.
We are a respectful, welcoming and inclusive environment where individuals can choose to wear or not to wear a mask. Please see posters arriving in schools shortly.
Please note that the screening tool may suggest that you wear a mask after testing positive.
