Data Privacy Day – January 28, 2022

Data Privacy DayMany countries around the world, including Canada, celebrate Data Privacy Week each year during the last week of January. The week-long initiative centres around Data Privacy Day, which is recognized each year on January 28. The day commemorates the signing of Convention 108 in 1981, the first legally-binding international treaty on privacy and data protection.

During Data Privacy Week and on Data Privacy Day, we promote awareness of the impact that technology has on our privacy rights, and the importance of protecting these rights and our personal information.
