Collegiate Consolidation – Naming and Transition
To Parents, Guardians & Caregivers of students at Green Acres and R.L. Hyslop,
As part of the Lower Stoney Creek Transitions Plan, the addition being built at the Collegiate Ave site is nearing completion. This school is scheduled to re-open in September 2021 and will accommodate students from Green Acres and R.L. Hyslop. Following the re-opening of the school at the Collegiate Ave site, Green Acres and R.L. Hyslop will both be closed.
The Transition Committee, with representation from Green Acres and R.L. Hyslop, will be meeting on two occasions to support the re-opening and closing of schools.
The Naming Committee will be responsible for reviewing the results from the public consultation to provide recommendations for the name of the new school.
Transition Committee Meeting 1 – February 18, 2021 @ 5:00 p.m.
Naming Committee Meeting– February 18, 2021 @ 6:30 p.m.
Transition Committee Meeting 2– April 15, 2021 @ 6:30 p.m.
