Addition to Collegiate Avenue – Community Information Night
Dear parents, guardians and caregivers,
As part of the Lower Stoney Creek Accommodation Review, the Board of Trustees approved the closure of Collegiate Avenue, Eastdale, Green Acres, Memorial (SC), Mountain View and R.L. Hyslop Schools and the opening of three new JK-8 elementary schools on the Collegiate, Eastdale and Memorial (SC) sites with modified boundaries between these three schools.
At the Facilities & Finance Committee meeting held on December 6, 2017, staff recommended that an additional $4.35 million in facility benchmark upgrades be combined with the $6 million in approved Ministry funding to complete the addition. This results in over $10 million invested in Collegiate Avenue School to accommodate just over 500 students and daycare space.
To keep families informed, community information nights will be held on a regular basis. The first public meeting reviewing plans for this project will be held on:
