Student Absence and Health Procedures
As the school year progresses, it is important for families to understand how we can continue to work together to keep our schools safe for students.
Each family can do their part by remaining informed on the process if their student fails the daily screening checklist or becomes symptomatic. The following links will help families to make the right decision and understand next steps and how the exclusion process works. Please note that the Student Screening Checklist has been updated to be consistent across the province.

Another step that families can take to keep our schools safe is selecting “COVID-19 Related” in SafeArrival when reporting a student illness, if this is an accurate description of the illness. This will help HWDSB understand and track the reasons for student absence.
