MEDIA RELEASE

For Immediate Release
March 22, 2022

Hamilton, ON – Beginning on March 29, 2022, Hamilton Public Health Services is offering catch-up vaccine clinics for students currently in grades 7/8/9/10 who missed their Grade 7 vaccines due to COVID-19 school closures during the pandemic emergency. These catch-up clinics will provide students the opportunity to receive all three missed vaccines at one time. Students can receive their first or second required dose at these clinics. COVID-19 vaccines will continue to be available at this vaccine clinic for eligible populations on a walk-in basis. Individuals can receive a dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at the same time, if required.

Catch-up clinics will be held out of the Mountain Vaccine Clinic – LimeRidge Mall, 999 Upper Wentworth St. and will be accessed by appointment only. Walk-ins will not be accepted. Appointments can be booked online by visiting www.hamilton.ca/catchupclinics or calling (905) 974-9848.

This vaccination series protects youth in our community from:

  • Hepatitis B (Hep B)
  • Meningococcal ACYW-135
  • Human Papillomavirus (HPV)

If an individual received their first dose at their family practitioner’s office and would like a second dose, they are asked to update their records online, or bring proof of vaccine with them to their appointment.

Parents and guardians are asked to update their youth’s vaccination records. More information on how to update these records can be found by visiting the Reporting Vaccines webpage or by calling 905-540-5250.
