Recap of This Week’s Media Events with HWDSB

The first day of school at HWDSB, Wednesday, September 8, is just around the corner. There have been a lot of questions surrounding the return to schools and you may have seen some answers being provided during various media appearances.

Below, you will find a recap of some of the media events that HWDSB has participated in this week. Some were led by other organizations, such as the City of Hamilton and CBC Hamilton, while others were conducted by HWDSB. These HWDSB media initiatives include our media availability at Memorial City and our Facebook Live Event hosted by Board Chair Dawn Danko.

Before school starts… what you need to know. HWDSB held a Facebook Live Event ahead of the 2021-22 school year. Board Chair Dawn Danko was joined by guests to share the latest HWDSB updates and answer community questions.

HWDSB held a media availability at Memorial City to share plans ahead of the 2021-22 school year and answers questions from members of the media. Topics included vaccinations, COVID-19 safety, wellness at HWDSB, ventilation, and more.
