Literacy and Mathematics/Curriculum Implementation
This PA Day will focus on literacy and mathematics instruction. Professional development will focus on training regarding:
- early reading instruction
- universal design for learning
- culturally relevant and responsive pedagogy
- high-yield instructional strategies
Literacy instruction will also focus on early reading screening and assessment consistent with the recommendations in the Ontario Human Rights Commission’s Right to Read report.
Professional learning regarding effective instructional strategies will be embedded within a focus on the implementation of revised curriculum subjects.
