Orchard Park student Muneeb Muzaffar wins TD Scholarship

Orchard Park student Muneeb Muzaffar is among 20 students from across Canada who will receive TD Scholarships for Community Leadership.
Muzaffar, who is set to graduate from Orchard Park this month, created and co-led a Youth Focus Group which organized a basketball tournament and food drive.His efforts included a leadership workshop series to help young people discover their strengths and seek post-secondary education.
Muzaffar is currently working on a community garden and remains active on school athletic teams, and several academic clubs. He plans to study Commerce at Queen’s University, to become a chief financial officer and to eventually start his own youth foundation.
As a TD Scholarship recipient, Muzaffar will receive a scholarship of up to $70,000 for post-secondary education, as well as summer employment and mentorship and networking opportunities.
Earlier this year, Muzaffar was awarded the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce’s Youth Volunteer of the Year and the Stoney Creek Chamber of Commerce Junior Citizen Award.
