Notice to families of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
HWDSB is committed to providing appropriate educational opportunities for improved student learning for all students.
Due to the recent changes to the Ontario Autism Program (OAP), HWDSB recognizes that young people with ASD will be entering school and/or transitioning from part-time to full-time school, beginning in April 2019.
Staff are pleased to welcome new and returning students to their school. Families of children and youth with ASD are to contact the local school principal to begin the registration process. Principals will make the appropriate connections to relevant support staff.
