Lindsay Snell Named Acting Superintendent of Student Achievement for FOS 5

lindsay snell fos 5On behalf of Executive Council, HWDSB is pleased to announce Lindsay Snell as Acting Superintendent of Student Achievement – Family of Schools (FOS) 5.

Previous FOS 5 Superintendent Jane Macpherson retired at the end of January 2024. During this transition, Angela Mercier supported FOS 5 on an interim basis. Over her time at HWDSB, Angela has been a committed, engaged, and supportive member of Executive Council, and we thank her for her meaningful contributions.

With more than 18 years of experience at HWDSB, Lindsay’s student-centered approach has led numerous school and system teams to improve reading, mathematics, and graduation outcomes.

Since 2021, Lindsay has served as a System Principal in Specialized Services. She brings a unique K-12 perspective to the role, having served as a leader in elementary and secondary schools, as well as the system level.

Lindsay’s leadership has guided the effective implementation of system reading interventions, including an impactful new learning structure in secondary schools, designed to support every child and youth at HWDSB learning to read.

Lindsay prioritizes building strong relationships to foster trust, celebrate strengths, and inspire curiosity and growth.

Please join HWDSB in welcoming Lindsay to Executive Council in the role of Acting Superintendent of Student Achievement, effective March 1, 2024.
