The session will provide an understanding on how inclusion is shifting. Rather than trying to include a few students who are different, we are striving to design and teach TO the difference. We will discuss how and why we need to look at students through a strength-based lens, so that we can respond to, plan and create space for all of their diverse identities.

About Shelley Moore:
Shelley Moore is a Canadian educator and an expert on special education. A teacher and researcher, she advocates for inclusive education and seeks to reform Individual Education Programs to better suit the needs of individual students.
Based In British Columbia, she has worked on special education reform for several Canadian provincial governments. In 2016, she published a book on the subject titled One Without the Other.
