HWDSB and PSSP reach tentative agreement
Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board and the Professional Student Services Personnel Unit (PSSP) of the Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation District 21 Teachers’ Unit, reached a tentative local agreement Tuesday, March 1, 2016 after extensive bargaining.
“Reaching another local agreement is great news. Positive conversations that reflect our changing culture are leading to stronger relationships with our staff groups.” Board Chair Todd White said.
No details of the tentative deal are being made public until the agreement is ratified by PSSP members and the Board.
A central agreement at the provincial level was reached in late November.
At HWDSB, PSSP represents kinesiologists, psychologists, social workers, speech/language pathologists and psychoeducational consultants.
