Course Selection Information Nights at HWDSB Secondary Schools

In November, students and families visited their future secondary schools for the first round of school-based sessions. HWDSB also hosted a system-wide ‘Getting Ready for High School’ virtual information session that shared details about the progression to Grade 9. The recording can be found at the bottom of this page.
Information nights for specialty programs also took place in November. Click this link for details about the Audition-Based Arts Program (Glendale), Self-Paced/Self-Directed Programming (Westmount) and French Immersion (Sherwood and Westdale).
In January and February of 2024, Grade 8 students and families are invited back to their future secondary schools for an important follow-up session. This time, school staff will be sharing details about option sheets and the course selection process that begins in February.
