Lacrosse pro visits Glendale for OFSAA Try Day

lacrosseAs part of the OFSAA Try Day Initiative, Glendale Secondary School was visited by Nationwide Lacrosse in October.  Led by professional Lacrosse player, Brad Self, the school clinic introduced the basics skills and strategies to newcomers and beginners.

Brad taught over 100 students during the course of the day, and he certainly piqued their interest in this dynamic, fast-paced team game. As one of Canada’s historical pastimes – and with its connection to Aboriginal Peoples – lacrosse is a great game to introduce to young athletes.

OFSAA continues to promote ‘Education through sport’ and Glendale staff appreciate their efforts to expand, diversify and improve Health and Physical Education programming.
