Grade 7 and 8 students and families are invited to visit their future secondary schools and learn more about HWDSB programs at upcoming Grade 7 & 8 Information Nights!
This important event series is a combination of school and system-based sessions. School sessions listed below take place at secondary schools, and will focus on programming and activities at the specific locations. Students and families can also attend information nights for specialty programs, which begin in November 2025.
Students and families are invited to learn about life in secondary school by watching the Getting Ready for High School presentation, which will be shared here shortly. You will learn what to expect in Grade 9, including information about course selection timelines, Ontario Secondary School Diploma requirements and more!

The International Baccalaureate (IB) program is open to students starting in Grade 11. IB does not offer Grade 9 entry, but Grade 7 and 8 students and families are still invited to learn more.
