Upcoming Deadlines for Continuing Education Summer 2024 Programs
As summer is inching closer, consider registering for one of HWDSB’s Continuing Education programs before time runs out. With a wide variety of summer programs, students can continue learning throughout the summer.

Grade 8 Reach Ahead Program
Back by popular demand, Continuing Education has re-opened the Grade 8 Reach Ahead application until June 21 at 4 p.m.
If you missed the original deadline, you can register your Grade 8 student to complete a credit in the summer before they start secondary school. We are offering online Civics and Careers and in-person Cosmetology and Construction courses.

Summer School On-Line
The application deadline for Summer School On-Line is June 27 at 2 p.m. Students from outside HWDSB must complete their enrolment documentation to register with HWDSB by no later than June 23.

Summer Credit Recovery
Summer Credit Recovery students will have an opportunity to participate in online credit recovery courses for Grade 9 or 10 compulsory credits. Students who were previously unsuccessful in earning a credit in an English, Geography, History, Math or Science course may be eligible to participate in this two-week program. Sessions run from July 3 to 15 and July 16 to 26. Students can recover up to two credits.
For additional information and to determine your eligibility for this program, please contact your school and ask to speak with the Summer Credit Recovery Coordinator. The application is available until July 15.
