Summer School On-Line

For current HWDSB Secondary School and Adult students REGISTRATION IS AVAILABLE UNTIL JUNE 30, 2022 at 2 p.m.

Continuing Education is pleased to offer Full Credit courses through our Summer School On-Line Program.  On-Line courses will be starting on July 5th and ending on July 28, 2022.  Deadline for registration is June 30, 2022 at 2 p.m.

Summer On-Line Program

Dates:  July 5 to 28, 2022
Tutoring:  Real-time extra support for On-Line courses will be available on MS Teams, teachers will notify their students of “office hours”.
Finals: Final submission dates for all course work and quizzes will be July 28th for Full Credit and Careers and July 15th for Civics courses.

Welcome to Summer On-Line Learning 2022 (Student Package)

NEW - Study Hall - Tutoring for Grade 9 & 10 Math and Science Students

Dates:  July 5 to 28, 2022, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday to Friday
Tutoring:  In-Person support for Grade 9 and 10 Math and Science courses.
Location: Hill Park Learning Centre, 465 East 16th Street, Hamilton

We are excited to offer in-person support for our grade 9 and 10 Math and Science students.  If you need additional support on learning concepts, you can drop in at “Study Hall” for in-person support.

For questions about your course expectations or feedback on your course work, please contact the teacher of your summer course.  Your teachers will also be offering on-line support sessions weekly.

How to Register - HWDSB Students including Adults currently active in Continuing Education Credit Programs

Please complete the REGISTRATION form: CLICK HERE – CLOSES AT NOON ON JUNE 30, 2022  (you must be signed in using your @hwdsb.on.ca account to access/submit the form)

If you have any questions or concerns about your course selection, prerequisites or pathway, please contact your Guidance Counsellor.  Once your registration has been submitted, you’ll receive a copy of your responses. Your Guidance Counsellor will review and validate your course selection – if they have any concerns they will update your course selection and contact you.

Deadline for registration is June 30, 2022 at 2 p.m.

How to Register - Recently left HWDSB Secondary School or Continuing Education

Students who attended Secondary School or Continuing Education programs in the last five years:

Step 1: REGISTER AS AN HWDSB STUDENT – If you haven’t done this step yet – you will NOT be able to register for Summer School in 2022 (June 29, 2:30 p.m.)

Step 2: If you’ve already completed your STUDENT REGISTRATION (STEP 1) please complete the REGISTRATION form: CLICK HERE – CLOSES AT NOON ON JUNE 30, 2022  (you must be signed in using your @hwdsb.on.ca account to access/submit the form)

If you have any questions or concerns about your course selection, prerequisites or pathway, please book Guidance Meeting with our Counsellor to register for Credit/Summer programs instead – BOOK NOW!

How to Register - NON-HWDSB Students

Secondary School Students from outside HWDSB will need to:

Step 2: If you’ve already completed your STUDENT REGISTRATION (STEP 1) please complete the REGISTRATION form: CLICK HERE – CLOSES AT NOON ON JUNE 30, 2022  (you must be signed in using your @hwdsb.on.ca account to access/submit the form)

Step 3: Your Guidance Counsellor will automatically be sent an email to approve your request by 2 p.m. on June 30

How to Register - Adult Students new to HWDSB

Adults not currently enrolled in an HWDSB Adult Credit Program should:

Important Dates and Information

Registration Deadline: Deadline for registration is June 30, 2022 at 2 p.m.

Technical Support: We have arranged for Technical and Course start up support on July 5, 6 & 7.  To report an issue or to request a password reset, please report your concern at: CLICK HERE – WILL BE ACTIVE JULY 4th

Final Submission date
Summer On-Line Learning – Final submission dates for all course work and quizzes will be July 28th for Full Credit and Careers and July 15th for Civics.

Final Reports
Final marks will be provided to students by their teachers by August 4th.  Final reports will be sent to students’ home schools.

Continuing Education reserves the right to cancel or relocate classes or programs.  Affected students would be contacted by email in the event that their course/program is cancelled.  Students are limited to choose ONE Summer Credit program each year.
