Are you ready to take center stage? The ArtSMART program is your chance to immerse yourself in the world of theatre while earning four high school credits toward your diploma. This dynamic, hands-on experience brings together talented students from across HWDSB for Semester 2 at Sir Allan MacNab Secondary School.
What is ArtSMART?
ArtSMART is a full-semester program designed for students passionate about the performing arts. Participants will:
- Perform in a full-scale musical production
- Collaborate with industry professionals like directors, vocal coaches, choreographers, and technical designers
- Gain real-world theatre experience in acting, singing, dancing, and technical roles
- Earn four credits: two specialized courses in Musical Theatre and Theatrical Production, plus two co-op credits
(These credits count toward your Ontario Secondary School Diploma and can fulfill SHSM requirements.)
Eligibility
To apply, you must:
- Be 15 years or older
- Have completed at least eight credits
- Submit your application and teacher reference by the deadline
- Attend an audition
Auditions
Auditions are required for all applicants and will include opportunities to showcase your talents in acting, singing, or technical skills.
