Save the Date Secondary Students: Future Preparedness Days Are Coming!
Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board secondary students—mark your calendars! Two important dates are coming up this school year.
Focused on YOU, the last day of each semester is now called a Future Preparedness Day. This day is a full instructional day where students will follow their first semester timetable one last time, review their culminating activity(ies) and reflect on their final grade. Students will be able to access their Guidance Counsellor and speak to other key leaders in the school community (Student Success Teacher, Learning Teacher, etc.).
Who Is It For?
All HWDSB secondary students are expected to attend. Whether you’re in Grade 9 or preparing for graduation, these days are built to support you.
When & Where?
Future Preparedness Days will take place in all HWDSB secondary schools on:
• Thursday, January 29, 2026
• Thursday, June 25, 2026
Transportation will be running, and attendance will be taken on these full instructional days.
Don’t miss it!
