New Approach to Sharing Holy Days on HWDSB Social Media
At HWDSB, we value the rich diversity of faiths and traditions observed within the communities we proudly serve.
Starting December 1, HWDSB will introduce a new approach to sharing Holy Days on our official social media accounts.
We are committed to honouring Holy Days in meaningful ways across our schools, learning and workspaces.
What is changing:
Instead of posting each Holy Day individually on our grid, we will now share one Instagram Reel that highlights the upcoming observances recognized by our community during the month. This change allows us to celebrate multiple traditions in a single, engaging format and provides community a consolidated view of the rich cultures ever-present in HWDSB classrooms, learning and workplaces across our system.
What is not changing:
We will continue to share important dates that impact the school year calendar, including P.A. Days, weather-related closures, and other key notices on or before the date (as in past practice.)
