Lawfield Community Enjoys Family Art Night
On April 26, Lawfield elementary hosted a successful Family Art Night where more than 200 students and families could design and glaze a ceramic tile with help from ceramic artist. Lawfield invited Laurie Pye from “An Artist in the Classroom” program and she taught participants how to design and glaze their tile. Families received their tiles and decorated them. The project was funded by a PRO grant submitted by Lawfield’s School Council, who also pitched in with student volunteers to help run the event. Principal Brian Patton said that “through the collaborative efforts, the event was a tremendous success!”
