2025 Winter Break: A Message from HWDSB’s Chair of the Board of Trustees and Director of Education
Dear HWDSB Families,
As we approach Winter Break, we wanted to take a moment to thank our entire school community for your continued support and partnership, and to wish you a well-deserved, restful break.
Thanks to the dedication of our staff, the engagement of our students, and the trust of our families and community partners, our schools continue to be places of learning, care, and belonging. Guided each day by HWDSB’s values of dignity, compassion, trust, and joy, we have made meaningful progress in advancing student achievement, strengthening a sense of belonging, and supporting well-being. This year, we have focused on deepening implementation and strengthening our commitment to truly understanding and responding to the communities we serve. This will continue to guide HWDSB as we enter 2026.
Winter Break offers an important opportunity to rest, relax, and reconnect. This period of renewal will support us as we move into the second half of the 2025-2026 school year.
On behalf of the Board, we wish all members of our community a safe and restful break. We look forward to welcoming students and staff back in the New Year as we begin 2026 together with renewed energy and optimism.
