Prom Project Hamilton 2023 Recap Video
On Saturday, April 29, Prom Project Hamilton 2023 gave students from across Hamilton the opportunity to pick out formal wear for special occasions, free of charge. The gymnasium of Sir Winston Churchill Secondary School was filled with amazing accessories, dazzling dresses, stylish suits, and hundreds of local students searching for the formalwear of their dreams. We are thrilled to say that Prom Project Hamilton 2023 was a tremendous success!
We loved seeing so many students’ styles and tastes come alive in search of their attire at this “pop-up shop” style event. There is nothing more uplifting than seeing students find the perfect outfit that makes them feel confident, fashionable, and proud.
Students had the opportunity to browse racks filled with a huge selection of attire. The room was overflowing with vibrant colours, patterns, sparkles, and sequins. There were hundreds of options from dresses, suits, jewelry, accessories, and shoes that ensured all students could create a style that made them look and feel their best on their special day.
The great selection is thanks to community donations of new, gently used, upcycled, and vintage dress wear. Thank you to everyone who donated to Prom Project 2023. We could not have had such a successful day without your support.
Our thanks are extended to the remarkable team of volunteers. The dream team included volunteers serving as personal shoppers, seamstresses, change room attendants, inventory coordinators, and more. Volunteers were a huge help in making sure the event stayed organized, ran smoothly, and helped students personalize their attire. Your time, skills, and compassion are deeply appreciated. You all helped give students a day they will not forget.
