Director’s Corner: Get to Know HWDSB’s New Director of Education!
Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board’s new Director of Education is Sheryl Robinson Petrazzini! The HWDSB community is invited to step inside the Director’s Corner to get to know the new leader.
In June 2022, prior to Robinson Petrazzini joining HWDSB, we visited Hess Street Elementary School and Sir Allan MacNab Secondary School, where students asked over fifty questions for the incoming Director. They were given the prompt, “What question do you have for the future of Director of Education?” and came up with some fantastic soundbites. The inspiration comes from the popular 1990s show ‘Speaker’s Corner,’ where people on the streets of Toronto were able to share their burning thoughts in the iconic booth.
At a recent meeting, Robinson Petrazzini was shown the student questions for the first time. Her responses were recorded for the community, and we hope you enjoy getting to know HWDSB’s new Director of Education after some time in the Director’s Corner.
