Pathways to Success Program Offers Career Help for Students with Learning Disabilities

pathways to successHigh school students with learning disabilities are invited to attend a free program to explore potential careers after high school.

The Learning Disabilities Association of Halton-Hamilton is offering Pathways to Success, a free workshop to students with learning disabilities or ADHD in grades 10 to 12.

The interactive 10-week program gives students a chance to explore potential career paths based on their strengths and interests. Students will learn how to set career goals, build their self-advocacy skills and learn about additional resources.

Students will also gain practical advice and encouragement directly from individuals who are living with learning disabilities while leading successful careers.

For parents, guardians and supporters, organizers offer a program at the same time, in which they can learn how to best support the student through their transition from high school to their chosen path.

The free program runs weekly from January 5 to March 10. Space is limited and is expected to fill up quickly. The program is virtual for parents, and in-person for students, following COVID-19 protocols.
