Kindergarten Registration Now Open at HWDSB
Registration for students starting Kindergarten this September is underway at elementary schools throughout Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board (HWDSB).
“HWDSB schools are exciting, enriching places for young learners to receive an education,” said Manny Figueiredo, Director of Education. “Our kindergarten program helps students get the best start possible. This begins with our caring team of educators who help our students learn to explore the world around them, solve problems and build healthy relationships.”
Parents and guardians can print the registration form ahead of time and take the completed form to their child’s school.
When registering their children, parents must also bring their child’s proof of status in Canada, i.e. Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, Refugee, etc., proof of age, proof of address, guardianship/custodianship documents (if applicable) and immunization records for the City of Hamilton Public Health Services.
Parents can find their elementary school by visiting www.hwdsb.on.ca/find/. Parents are encouraged to call their nearest elementary school for details and to arrange the best time to visit the school to register.
