Summer Credit Recovery

Summer is the time to get back on track!  HWDSB Continuing Education is offering a Credit Recovery opportunity for students recommended by their day school. Credit Recovery is available to students who had a final grade of less than 50% during the 2023-2024 or the 2022-2023 school years. Please contact your school to apply for the summer Credit Recovery program. 

Course Options

  • CGC1D1 – Canadian Geography, Grade 9
  • CHC2P1 – Canadian History, Grade 10 Applied
  • CHC2D1 – Canadian History, Grade 10 Academic
  • ENL1W1 – English, Grade 9
  • ENG2P1 – English, Grade 10 Applied
  • ENG2D1 – English, Grade 10 Academic
  • MTH1W1 – Math, Grade 9
  • MFM2P1 – Math, Grade 10 Applied
  • MPM2D1 – Math, Grade 10 Academic
  • SNC1W1 – Science, Grade 9
  • SNC2P1 – Science, Grade 10 Applied
  • SNC2D1 – Science, Grade 10 Academic

Courses materials will be delivered on “the HUB” and there will be two “office” hours per day on Teams.

Students may recover up to two credits by participating in both sessions of Credit Recovery Program.

Session dates & details

Session 1 – July 3-15, 2024 – apply by 4 p.m., June 27, 2024

Session 2 – July 16-26, 2024 – apply by 8 a.m., July 11, 2024

Eligible Students and How to Apply

HWDSB students who have failed or received an “I” in one of the available courses during the 2023-2024 and the 2022-2023 school years.  In order to participate, students must be currently registered in an HWDSB secondary school and recommended for Credit Rescue by their Principal/Guidance Counsellor.

Continuing Education reserves the right to cancel, combine or re-locate programs.
