Additional Grade 9 Orientation Program – mid-September 2020

Continuing Education, in partnership with HWDSB Secondary Schools, is pleased to share that we’ll be offering an ADDITIONAL Grade 9 Orientation Program in mid-September

These school specific evening sessions will take place the week of September 14th  or 21st in an on-line format using MS Teams and the HUB.  We’re currently working with the high schools to finalize details.

All Grade 9 Students will automatically be registered for the program at their Secondary School and will be able to participate.

During the week of September 8th, Continuing Education will send a follow up message to families providing the date and times for their student’s program.  If you and your student feel that participating in the session would be a benefit, please simply join the Microsoft Teams meeting on the scheduled day and time.

These sessions will help students to make connections with new classmates and teachers, become more familiar with their new schools and the on-line tools we’re using, in addition to providing some helpful tips for time management, study habits and working on-line.

No further action is needed from you at this point and additional information will be provided to you by email about your student’s session during the week of September 8th.

We’re looking forward to helping all of our Grade 9 students feel confident and comfortable as they begin their high school journey!
