CE offers guidance to assist you on your path to earning a high school diploma, develop new skills for the workplace or prepare for a post-secondary pathway. The Credit Preparation Program (Academic Upgrading) is designed to support students out of school for a long period who feel they are ALMOST ready to earn a high school credit but could benefit from refreshing their Academic Skills. NOTE: ESL benchmark of at least Level 5 required. There are various high school credit earning programs available through HWDSB Continuing Education. We offer day, evening, online or a hybrid of online and in class learning options. NOTE: ESL benchmark of Level 7 required. PLAR (Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition) allows students to achieve credits using the skills they have acquired in both formal and informal ways, outside of secondary school. NOTE: ESL benchmark of Level 6 required.
