Summer CCE On-Line Learning – New Credit

(for Secondary School and Adult students)

Please check back in April/May 2018 for details on the 2018 Summer On-Line Learning Program.

CCE’s Summer On-line Learning program is a way to take new credit courses without attending class every day.  Students are expected to complete and submit work using Desire 2 Learn (D2L) on a daily basis throughout the month of July . During the summer of 2017, CCE’s On-Line summer courses will run from July 5th to 28th.  The Civics Exam will be held on the afternoon of July 14, 2017  at the Hill Park Learning Centre and all other exams for CCE On-line Learning must be written on July 28, 2017  at 10 a.m. at Sherwood Secondary School (no exceptions).

Eligible HWDSB Secondary School students (see your Guidance Counsellor for details) must register through Guidance at YOUR SCHOOL – please DO NOT attend Registration Nights.

Registration information for Adults and Non-HWDSB students

(Summer School and Summer On-Line Learning)

June 22, 27 and 29, 2017 – 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Hill Park Learning Centre
June 30, 2017 – 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Hill Park Learning Centre (last chance to register for On-Line Learning Courses)

Proof of identification and program eligibility must be provided at the time of registration.
There will be no registration for On-Line Learning after 2:00 p.m. on June 30, 2017.

Important Dates and Information

Final Exams  (No exceptions)
Summer On-Line Learning – 10:00 a.m. July 28th
Half credit (first half) exams – afternoon of July 14th at Hill Park Learning Centre

Final Reports
Summer On-Line Learning – August 3rd at the Hill Park Learning Centre

Extra support for On-Line courses is available at the Hill Park Learning Centre, teachers will notify their students of office hours.

“On-line Learning” is a method through which Secondary School credit courses are delivered over the Internet.  Individuals seeking to earn high school credits can register to take any of our teacher-led on-line courses.  Our easy to use on-line courses combined with the expertise of our online teaching staff prove to deliver the best learning experience.

Before you register, please make sure you have:

  • A valid email address – HWDSB students will be sent their sign in information via their HWDSB Office365 account.
  • A transcript (Adult Learners)


  • ALL Students MUST COMPLETE ONLINE ORIENTATION – details will be provided at time of registration to non-HWDSB and Adult students and by e-mail in late June to all HWDSB Secondary Students.
  • Please ensure that you include your e-mail address on your registration form to ensure that you receive your user credentials.
