2021 Course Option Selection in XELLO – DATES & INSTRUCTIONS
“Update to Course Options Process:
Please be aware that Saltfleet will be using a new program, ‘Xello’ for student option course selections for 2021-2022. Career Cruising will no longer be supported. Students can continue to review and plan courses for next year, however note that the course selections will be done, using Xello. Further details to follow.”
The option selection process is live in XELLO on February 11th to 28th. In this time frame students will be able to submit their course selections and lock them into the system as their choices. Students can find the link to XELLO in the HUB, under the Guidance course. https://home.hwdsb.on.ca/
Options must be reviewed and approved by a parent or guardian. The deadline is February 28th. A step-by-step video can be found here:

Should a student wish to make a change after the fact they can do so during the verification process which occurs in April. Students are encouraged to make appointments with their guidance counsellor if they have questions about their course selections and pathways program. Parents are welcome to join in the meetings. Guidance counsellors are available for 15 minute, virtual appointments on Microsoft Teams. Please do so via the Booking app using your HWDSB school email.

The 2020-2021 options chart document (2021-22 Saltfleet Options Chart) can be used by students to get a glimpse of all courses being offered by Saltfleet. This is NOT the actual option sheet. Students are to use the Course Planner in XELLO to complete their option sheet. Option sheets will be open to submit online in XELLO beginning February 11th and ending February 28th. Please be sure to read all documents listed on this page for further instruction and assistance on completing your option sheet.
