Dear Families,

We want to inform you that Hamilton Police continue to investigate an incident near Saltfleet Secondary School after a student was stabbed during a targeted robbery.

The incident took place shortly before 3:00 p.m. The student was transported to hospital and is in serious but stable condition. Hamilton Police have made an arrest and are not looking for any further suspects at this time.

As a school community, we extend our thoughts to the student and their family and wish them strength in their recovery.

Incidents such as this are very distressing. These situations can impact each of us differently and may result in a variety of feelings.
