Important Saltfleet Start-up information for February 8th – Please read

Saltfleet students will be returning to face-to-face learning on Monday, February 8^th. The bell schedule will return to the Adaptive Model, with a 145-minute in-person block in the morning and three 40-minute remote blocks in the afternoon. Rotation 1 will run from February 8^th to March 10^th.

Period 1 classes will take place in the face-to-face morning block. Students should only attend on their designated Cohort day. You can locate your student’s Semester 2 Cohort on the timetable that was emailed home last week (listed as “Track”). Please see the attached bell schedule and Semester 2 school calendar for more information.

Secondary Calendar Semester 2 Revised (Feb 11)

Students will be placed into face-to-face or at-home learning according to the preference that was previously communicated to the school as of December 18, 2020. If you are choosing to continue with your current learning model, there is no need for further action.

At this time, students who previously selected at-home learning may elect to return to face-to-face learning. If you wish to do this, a parent, guardian, or 18+ student must email a request to the appropriate guidance counsellor (Ms. Susi – last names A-H; Mr. Scocchia – last names I-P; Ms. Sandoval – last names Q-Z). All requests must be received by the school no later than Wednesday, February 10^th.

Students may also elect to switch from face-to-face learning to at-home learning. If you wish to do this, a parent, guardian, or 18+ student must email a request to the appropriate guidance counsellor. Requests to change from face-to-face learning to remote learning will be accepted on an ongoing basis. Please note that once a student chooses at-home learning, they cannot return to face-to-face learning until the next Rotation begins on March 11^th.
