Farewell to Saltfleet Students from Ms. Nicolaides

Hello Saltfleet Storm,

It is with much sadness that I write this farewell message to you. I feel grateful and humbled to have been #TakenByStorm!  Saltfleet District High School is an impressive building with many new upgrades over the last few years, but even more impressive, are the students and staff that fill the building.  What a privilege it has been for me to observe your numerous accomplishments in the 3.5 years that I have had the honour to be your Principal.  From outstanding academic achievement materializing in prestigious scholarships, to wonderful performances by our music students, to numerous championships from a variety of sports teams, to experiential opportunities like helping Saltfleet students in construction build part of a Habitat for Humanity home, to hosting and having students facilitate the Special Olympics for the elementary panel, to the amazing book fairs, cooperative education culminating tasks, and art shows and to the daily conversations with students in the atrium, I am going to really miss you!  If you look at my Twitter feed, you will see that I have been your biggest cheerleader, celebrating your every accomplishment.  I have been in awe of everything you have done!  It is with 100% certainty, there is a very bright future, as I know you will continue to be phenomenal, contributing positively to the greater community.  Although I am leaving, a little place in my heart will always belong to Saltfleet.  All my best wishes to all of you! Stay safe, be well.  Please join me in welcoming Mr. Glenn Cooke as your new Principal. I pass the torch to him as he will continue to celebrate your accomplishments.  I know he will be as amazed as I have been.

Take care of yourselves,

Ms. Nicolaides
