YES! Program

The YMCA of Hamilton, Burlington, and Brantford is happy to announce another round of our Youth Engagement Series, run in collaboration with the Hamilton Police Service and the HamONTyouth team!

This is a 6-week program, running on Wednesdays between 4 PM and 6 PM beginning February 5^th 2025 to help build education and awareness around safety issues concerning Youth in Hamilton. The sessions will take place at 420 Crerar Drive in the Hamilton Italian Centre. Through engaging guest speakers from the YMCA, the City of Hamilton and HPS, youth will learn valuable information about topics such as Gun and Gang violence education and prevention, Tech crime and cyber-safety, and Anti-Human Trafficking. Additionally, we include mindfulness and mental health based creative programming before or after session to help support with the heavy subject matter than is presented. This program is an excellent programming choice for any youth who would like more information about these topics or who has an interest in a career in social work or law enforcement.
