Continuing Education is pleased to offer the following programs:

Night School - SYNCHRONOUS LEARNING

NEW STARTING SEMESTER 2 – 2026!

HWDSB Night School offers credit courses for secondary students and adult learners working toward their Ontario Secondary School Diploma.

Students may take a new course or upgrade a previously completed course, provided they meet all prerequisite requirements. Current secondary school students are encouraged to consult their Guidance Counsellor before registering to ensure appropriate course selection and pathway alignment.  Students are permitted to take one Night School credit at a time through HWDSB.

Delivery Model

Courses are delivered in a remote synchronous format with real-time instruction via Microsoft Teams and the HUB. Students are expected to be online during scheduled class times and actively participate. To support engagement in a virtual classroom, students should have a working device, reliable internet, and a webcam; cameras may be required to be on during instruction.

All courses include in-person midterm and final evaluations (see ‘Assessments’ for dates and locations). Students are required to complete both in-person evaluations to be eligible to earn the credit.
