- Academic Upgrading classes are FREE, non-credit, employment preparation and academic upgrading program.
- Adults 18 years and over can participate.
- Classes are individualized and taught in a self-paced, small class format to meet the specific needs of each student.
- ELL students must have CLB 5 or higher in reading and writing to participate in Get SET.

Supports Offered
|
- Students will focus on non-credit reading, writing and numeracy skills to prepare for earning Secondary School credits or an Apprenticeship opportunity.
- Help develop skills needed to write PLAR tests (to earn grade 9 and 10 credits toward Ontario Secondary School Diploma).
- Builds basic computers skills to support transition to Credit, post-secondary or employment.
- Students learn the fundamentals of education including Pre-High School levels of Literacy and Numeracy.

About the Program
|
- Enrolment to the Academic Upgrading classes is continuous throughout the school year (September to June).
- Part-time classes are available Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at Hill Park Learning Centre, City Learning Centre and online.
- Tuesday & Thursday 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm online.
